    Re: NPPL IS DEAD

If that is true it doesn't mean NPPL is dead and gone for good unless the guys running it want it to be. Many businesses, and people, declare bankruptcy every year and get by just fine. In fact, many, like several of the airline companies emerged stronger than before after bankruptcy and continue to function even while doing so. Circuit City just did this actually but they are still around, though they closed over 100 stores, they are still around. My neighbor did many years ago and was able to rebuild his business and did better afterwards. What I'm staying is that NPPL doesn't have to be dead if they guys running it don't want it to be.

    Re: NPPL IS DEAD

Pacific paintball which owns, NPPL, XPSL, PB2X. Filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, which means they are having to liquidate their belongings to their creditors. Soo mostly the only time that I am pretty sure that the NPPL could be back is if some one would of bought the franchise before everything was liquidated, which it is to late right now. But who knows maybe there is a loop hole and some random company will step in...

    Re: NPPL IS DEAD

If I had to put money on the outcome I would put A LOT on it dying.  It is actually some interesting reading about the inner workings of the company, its owners, and staff as it relates to the demise.  No love for Shawn Walker!!!!

I find 7 man to be boring to watch as a whole.  Sure there are some amazing matchups but it idoes not have the same appeal as PSP to me.  It will be intresting to see how the PSP handles this and if they attempt to change anything to bettter accomodate the West Coast guys and 7 man mentality / style.  My personal guess is that all formats (x-ball and 5-man) remain the same and they add another west coast event perhaps 2).  Divisional play is going to be silly next year!

I am also curious as to what the teams that chose to drop the NXL in favor of NPPL Super 7 will do now that they don't have the roster for the game.  I see a lot of shuffling and shifting in the NXL / Smi Pro / DIV 1 and 2 this off season.

here is another link to check out. Seems like there is some drama behind it all not just the economy.

I hope psp adds a few more team spots in each division and adds an open division.

I could give a crap about the NPPL. I was a PSP guy myself. I was just saying that it is possible that they could continue if they really wanted to.

    Re: NPPL IS DEAD

PSP does have an opportunity now. It will be interesting to see if they embrace the NPPL refugees or if they laugh in their face and say, "we told you so." I'm sure they will embrace them but it would be kinda funny if they didn't. Actually, they could do both and I'd be fine with it. "We told you so and I'll take your money now since you have nowhere else to play." Hahaha!

    Re: NPPL IS DEAD

I know a lotof the taneytown teams that played d1 or d2 are looking to play in the MXL. Which is a league that the sport needs to embrace because its what will take paintball to the next level!!

    Its AXBL, MXL, CXBL

Look it up its the future of paintball. Long matches fast points and its basically hockey without ice easy to follow!!!
