You make a good point there. The only drawback for me is that their events are all over the place which is good if you live in Houston or Buffalo and such. If they get some closer to home that would be good for us locally but your gonna have teams that play D1-D4 psp playing in the D4 NPPL division not all will do that ofcourse but you will have teams that do. They should really consider that and make it harder for sand baggers to enter the event. I thought it was really stand up that DC Arsenal got in the highest division
they could in D1 coming from Pro NPPL, they did ok and won a match and
if they come back will probably do even better. This may put a hurt on PSP and as you say time will tell.
As far as less paint well I agree with that with NPPL 5-man depending on how long the games are, but not with 7-man, I see DC Monstars, Nasty and Lowlifes and on occasion DC Arsenal play every Sunday and they are shooting every bit of 13.3 balls a second in semi sometimes it even sounds like they are in PSP mode and they go through allot of paint in 10 games plus you can play 2 maybe 3 games in a psp match in the time you play one NPPL game, most PSP teams carry 4-6 pods on the field you have back players in NPPL play carrying 8-10 pods and shooting them all plus you have two more players on the field shooting paint. You may have a difference of a case or two but nothing significant. Just the fact it is 5-man vs. 7-man will make a big difference just as 7-man vs 10-man was a big difference and 10-man went away not that 7 will go away but having a 5-man division will be good for NPPL as two less players equal less paint and less amount of time on the field. The more I write the more I convince myself that PSP better do something if they are gonna compete with this move NPPL has done. If NPPL started using PSP modes that would probably do it as it is not the modes that make the games so much different but the way the games are played and the field layouts. I know guys that can shoot faster in semi than on capped psp. Now if NPPL would make their events more spectator friendly that would be a big step.
